Former Pastor Blair Donnelly, Who Stabbed His Daughter to Death Won’t Go To Prison
By Jonathan | January 28, 2008On November 23, 2006, Blair Donnelly, a former pastor brutally murdered his fifteen year old daughter by stabbing her multiple times. According to facts agreed on by the crown and the defence council, Donnelly had been reading the Bible that morning had had interpreted events of the day to be messages from God to kill is family. He carried a concealed knife around with him all day, and when his wife noticed his strange behaviour she called the families pastor to the house to pray with them.
Later that evening Donnelly came home to find his daughter sitting at the computer and he interpreted this as a sign from God to murder her. He was found praying outside his church with blood on his hands.
According to reports from people who knew Donnelly, he had left his ministry because he was battling demons, and not in the metaphorical sense. Donnelly believed he was doing such important work for God that he was under constant Satanic attack.
Blair Donnelly has now been found not guilty by reason of insanity. He me be insane, but he sure as hell *is* guilty!

What is your source showing that Blair Donnelly was a pastor? I have spoken with pastors who knew him in Kitimat, B.C. and there is no mention of him being a pastor.

My source is: http://www.canada.com/theprovince/news/story.html?id=7e1aebea-03b8-4cb5-8edd-eb705e1c04ba
“Donnelly, a former pulp-mill worker and pastor, is being sent to a forensic psychiatric unit…”

I checked out the article and have found at least one error: “Stephanie’s mom sold the home shortly after the killing…” The house hasn’t sold as I have viewed it myself. I will check on where Blair may have been a pastor.

Blair was a pastor in Edmonton at People’s Church in the late 1980s early 1990s. He and Trish gave leadership to the single adults in the church. He was also just outside of Sudbury in 94/95, but returned to Edmonton. He and Trish were a great team, and it is hard to fathom that he could have this kind of breakdown.

I feel Sick,I knew Blair I liked Him He seemed like a good man,i only found out today about this tragic story,i remember after he left edmonton he went to toronto, i seen him after that back in edmonton,He told me about losing his mind in toronto,i was really freeked out and uncomfortable hearing the things he spoke about,of course i didnt realize how far gone his mental state was,i feel so sad for his family, and him,I am a christian,
it does confuse me how a man like this can get so lost, and i can certianly say if a voice told me to do harm to anyone i would, know it was NOT God speaking to me,
