My first choice for this recent new year getaway was New York, but since I wanted to have carry-on luggage only, I didn’t want to have to deal with taking winter boots and all that.
So I chose Vegas. And while it did turn out to be pretty darn cold there, it was still a bit warmer than New York, and no snow to deal with.
And luckily it has its own little miniature New York to visit. It’s so wonderfully cheesy and epitomizes to what a Vegas hotel should be. Most of the newer hotels, while very impressive, are missing the charm. They are just bland by comparison.
