About once a decade things get really weird and we actually get snow here on the wet coast. That is, snow that sticks around for more than an hour before turning into a soggy, slushy mess.
This year we’ve been especially fortunate. We’ve had almost a solid month of this bright, cheery, white winter in place of our normal dark, wet dreariness. We even almost got a white Christmas, but we had to settle for a white Boxing Day.
The downside is that Vancouver has the worst snow drivers north of the equator. And plowing the roads? What’s that? Luckily I was able to capture this moment right through my living room window.
I took five or six shots and culled half of them. That’s what’s wonderful about digital, you can take as many photos as you want. That’s also the worst part, because afterwards you have to choose your favourite. And this time it came down to two and I just couldn’t decide. So today it’s two for the price of one.
