I have heard from my European friends that they don’t really care about castles. I don’t know if that’s universally true, but I don’t doubt that they find them a lot less fascinating than us Canadians (and Americans). I myself can’t help but be a bit in awe just standing in places like this and imagining the history that surrounds me.
I had to be careful with my framing because someone was having their wedding photos taken in the courtyard on the right. If you look closely, you’ll see I didn’t quite succeed…
